Long Beach is a beautiful city situated within Los Angeles County on Southern California's pacific coast. It is located approximately 105 miles north of San Diego and 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. On its southeast edge lies Orange County. Signal Hill city is entirely encompassed in the city limits. The city has a projected population of 492,882, making it the 6th largest city in California and the 39th largest city within the United States.

Among the biggest shipping ports is located within Long Beach, making it a very influential within the global economy. It is the second busiest container port in the US and has been referred to as the Aquatic Capital of the Nation. There are big oil reservoirs located underground and offshore that has created a number of jobs within the industry and a considerable amount of income for the city. Amongst the some businesses that thrive within Long Beach are audiovisual and electronic equipment manufacturers, car and aircraft parts developers, and home furnishing makers.
