Pasadena is a beautiful city located within Los Angeles County and is home to the annual Rose Bowl football game as well as the Tournament of Roses parade. However, that is not all that the city has to offer. It is home to many cultural and scientific institutions which are littered all over the city. They include, but are not limited to, Caltech (California Institute of Technology), Pasadena City College (PCC), California School of Culinary Arts Pasadena, Art center College of Design, the Jet Propulsion Lab, Full Theological Seminary, the North Simon Museum of Art, the Pacific Asia Museum and the Pasadena Playhouse.

The population of the city is nearly 145,000 people, making it the seventh largest LA County city. During 1886, Pasadena was the very first of the cities to be incorporated in Los Angeles County. The main reason it was incorporated was to be able to get rid of the many saloons which were littered all over the city. Pasadena is one of the major culture hubs of the San Gabriel Valley.
