Mainly, these areas support petrochemical and petroleum processing. Bayer, Chevron Phillips and ExxonMobil are the centerpieces of the economy of Baytown. Of all of Bayer's U.S. chemical processing sites, the biggest is the one situated within Bayer Baytown Industrial Park. Also, the Cedar Bayou Chemical Plant is the biggest manufacturing site of Chevron Phillips. The newest manufacturing site is Cedar Crossing Business Park, which has just acquired Samson Controls, Jindal Steel and Power Limited as tenants.

Various wold flowers, wildlife and birds can be found within the Baytown Nature Center, which is a large acreage featuring wetlands. The Evergreen Point Golf Course will satisfy the golf enthusiasts.
