Prince George is a city within North Central British Columbia. The city was originally a fur trading post called Fort George, controlled by the North West Company. The Grand Trunk Pacific Railways had a route running through Fort George in 1903. More development followed as two rival land speculators built the communities of South Fort George and Central Fort George. In the year 1964, Prince George Pulp was built followed by two more other pulp businesses.
