The Oshawa trails offer its citizens and visitors an opportunity to see the beauty of Oshawa's culture, natural resources and parks. Harmony Creek and Oshawa valleys have greeneries that are normally seen within the Southern Ontario valley lands. Jack in the Pulpit, Horsetrail, and Ostrich Fern are great places to discover native plants. Donevan Recreation Complex has public swimming, an indoor pool and arena for skating. Farewell Park provides the chance for everybody to watch softball games through summer evenings, play basketball along with friends, and have a picnic or play on the playground. McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve, which was operated and maintained by General Motors of Canada, has several walking trails which comprise Dogwood Trail meant to give interpretive opportunities for the visually impaired.
