The city of Warren, in Michigan is a suburb of Detroit. It is the biggest city within Macomb County with more than 134,000 inhabitants. General Motors Technical Center has its home within the city of Warren. Various businesses are situated here, such as the headquarters of Big Boy Restaurants International, Asset Acceptance, the Cadillac Motor Car Division of General Motors and Campbell Ewald. The Warren region was inhabited by farmers around the year 1835. A village became established during the year 1909 and by the year 1957 the area was incorporated as the city of Warren. Warren grew quickly until the 1970s, but has ever since been decreasing in population. The primary employment sectors within Warren are healthcare, manufacturing, accommodation and food services, transportation equipment, social assistance, construction, professional, scientific and technical services and educational services.
