In the State of Kansas, Wichita is the biggest city. The population was around 382,360 during the U.S. Census of the year 2010. The city is located in the south central part of Kansas State. It is actually located on the Arkansas River. The city of Wichita is the county seat of Sedgwick County. It features the immigration of the Mennonites during the 1870s to Kansas State.

The Old Cowtown Museum offers a fun living re-enactment of the Old West. The Wichita Jazz Festival is another popular 2-day event, put on every April across many city venues. This festival honors the site of well-known jazz musician Charlie Parker's very first recording which happened in 1940.
