The Sprinkler System Installer Program is designed to teach a student how to install and repair fire protection sprinkler systems in a variety of buildings and settings. Students will learn how to work with piping, tubing, accessories and connections.
The Sprinkler System Installer Program can usually be completed within a 4 year time frame. Approx. 24 weeks of the program are designated to in-class lectures. After graduation, the Sprinkler System Installer will know how to test sprinkler and fire protection systems for leaks with air or liquid pressure.
A Sprinkler System Installer will also know how to work with automatic, deluge or open sprinklers, foam, fog and carbon dioxide systems, wet or dry standpipes, and inside hose pipe systems.
