The 2025 RIICA and Neil Sullivan Memorial Scholarship applications are now available!
The Rhode Island Independent Contractors and Associates established this Scholarship Program to assist children, grandchildren, members and spouses of members of RIICA. The RIICA Board of Directors unanimously approved the naming one of the Scholarship Awards as the Neil Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Award in memory of the longtime member of RIICA. Both will be awarded prior to July 31, 2025.
One (1) $1,000.00 one-year scholarship will be awarded.
Please post/distribute the following materials regarding our Scholarship Program in a conspicuous area so that your employees may easily see it. We ask that you consider issuing this notice in your employees' paychecks sometime in April for those employees that might have been on seasonal layoff.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Completed applications must be returned to the RIICA Office, postmarked no later than JUNE 6, 2025. See the Scholarship Application document below for complete instructions.
The RIICA Grant was established to recognize students who plan to pursue postsecondary education. The RIICA Grant will be presented to two applicants who are either a child or grandchild of a RIICA member. Prospective candidates can be either current high school seniors who are applying to an accredited college or trade school or students who are currently pursuing a degree or a trade.
All application requirements must be satisfied if you wish to be considered for a $1,000 grant. Grant letters will be awarded by mail upon verification from the appropriate educational institution that you have been accepted or continue to be a student in good standing.
Application Requirements:
- Completed Application (please see below).
- For graduating seniors two Letters of Recommendation from any of the following: teachers, guidance counselors, advisors, or principals. For current secondary education students a copy of the latest full academic report card or facsimile. (Copies are acceptable)
- Written response (please see below).
Completed applications should be returned to the address below by June 06, 2025.
