This scholarship was created to memorialize the lives of former Idaho Power employees Douglas E. Sprenger, Kevin M. Whittier and Larry R. Wimer. This $1,000 scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in an engineering program at an accredited Idaho college; OR college students of any level enrolling in a natural resources program at an accredited Idaho college. The scholarship is awarded on a one-time basis and is not renewable. The funds must be used during the school year directly following the scholarship award. Funds may not be deferred or held for later use.
If awarded, Idaho Community Foundation will forward a check directly to the institution for credit to the student’s account; the award will be split between the fall and spring semester of the first year.
Selection Criteria
- Graduating high school senior planning to enroll in an engineering program at an accredited Idaho college;
-OR-
- College student of any level currently enrolled in a natural resources program at an accredited Idaho college.
