Girl Up is a youth-centered leadership initiative focusing on equity for girls and women in spaces where they are unheard or underrepresented. We believe when girls and women are in positions of influence, they work to create a more just equitable space for everyone.

Girl Up aims to support its network of youth participants around the world through financial awards, honorariums, and scholarships. Girl Up knows that when you educate a girl, you educate a nation, and we are proud to host the 2023 Scholarship Fund. The 2023 Sports for a Purpose Scholarship Fund is proudly supported by WWE and the 2023 STEM for Social Good Scholarship Fund is proudly supported by Noble Panacea.

Girl Up Sports for a Purpose Scholarship

From youth sports teams and professional athletes to the back end of sports, girls and women face discrimination, a lack of access and limited opportunities in sports. Gender inequities are everywhere- limited funding, little media coverage of female athletes and women's sports- and the pervasive body shaming of female athletes just to name a few.

Girl Up is committed to bridging the gender gap in sports by breaking down barriers everywhere they exist. Supported by WWE, the 2023 Girl Up’s Sports for a Purpose Scholarship Fund honors young leaders unwavering commitment to making the world a better place through sports, for every girl, everywhere.

Girl Up STEM for Social Good Scholarship

Girls and women continue to be underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. At Girl Up, we are bridging the gender gap in these fields by inspiring our youth leaders to use STEM skills to create solutions to problems in their communities. That’s STEM for Social Good.
