Presently, this application is open to students of African descent and other students who actively work for racial equality and social justice. At present, the scholarships are for those students who are attending or plan on attending Charles R. Drew Medical University, Los Angeles, Ca, or UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA
HOW TO QUALIFY?
To qualify, you must be a senior in high school, eligible for college, enrolled in college or a recent college graduate. You must submit a complete application packet, including an essay on a topic decided upon by the Board. Essay topics may vary from year to year.

PREPARATIONS NOW will award scholarships annually to qualified students. Award announcements will be made in May to allow recipients time to financially plan. Honorees will be recognized and receive the scholarship at the Awards program of their respective schools in June (if applicable).
PREPARATIONS NOW is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to build a brighter future for Students of African ancestry, mixed-race students, and all other students who promote inter-racial understanding.
