The Adams County Community Foundation manages more than 100 scholarship awards available to high school students from Adams County, PA.
When is the deadline?
The application deadline is March 15.
Do I have to apply for each scholarship?
No, the Community Foundation will match your application to all eligible competitive scholarships.
When will I receive my award?
Scholarship winners are announced online after May 1 on the Community Foundation's website and Facebook page.
Are there any other scholarships available?
Yes, the following scholarship awards require a separate application:
1) The Returning Student Scholarship – This scholarship supports current Adams County residents with at least one completed year of a post-secondary school or accredited technical program, and is now returning to school after a hiatus of one year or longer.
2) Dr. Charles H. Glatfelter Scholarship Fund – This scholarship is offered to descendants of Casper Glattfelder who was the first of his family to arrive in the United States in 1743.
3) The Emory H. & Luther D. Snyder Littlestown Foundry, Inc. Scholarship -This scholarship is a $1,000 per year renewable (up to four years) scholarship open to any student who is a direct descendant of a current full-time employee or official retiree of Littlestown Foundry, Inc. Students may live outside of Adams County. Owners or family members of Littlestown Foundry, Inc. stockholders are ineligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years.
