Kae Sumner Einfeldt, founder of Tall Clubs International, Inc. had dreams of creating an organization that would promote causes that benefit tall people. In 1992, one of those dreams became a reality in the creation of the Tall Clubs International Foundation, Inc. The Foundation began accepting donations as a not-for-profit charitable organization and then became a IRS code 501(c)(3) organization.

Each year, Tall Clubs International, Inc. receives nominations from participating affiliate Tall Clubs and Members-At-Large throughout North America. From this pool of nominations, the recipients are selected to receive scholarship awards from Tall Clubs International™ and TCI Foundation, Inc. Please note, at the current time all nominations for both scholarship programs are filtered through the Tall Clubs International chapter organizations and members-at-large. For the Tall Clubs International Foundation scholarships, only two nominations per TCI affiliate club or member-at-large is allowed (one for a ‘Merit’ scholarship and one for a ‘Legacy’ scholarship).

The Tall Clubs International Foundation, Inc. is a separate IRS 501(c)(3) status non-profit organization created to benefit the interests of tall people. Currently, the focus is on funding scholarships for students under 21 years of age, about to attend their first year of higher education, and who meet the height requirements of TCI — 5′ 10″ (178 cm) for women, and 6′ 2″ (188 cm) for men. Annually, TCI Foundation awards multiple student scholarship(s) of up to $1000 each.
