The team at Solano Law Firm, LLC is committed to supporting the immigrant community by providing them with legal services, support, and compassionate guidance. As an extension of our commitment to bettering the lives of our immigrant community, our firm grants a $1,000 scholarship to the U.S. high school senior who shows commitment and dedication to building a better future for themselves and for the Latino community as a whole.
We understand the importance of pursuing a degree for students, in their effort to open as many doors as possible. That is why we are excited to offer the 2024 Build a Better Future scholarship to help bear some of the financial burdens which often accompany this goal. The application deadline for this scholarship is July 31st, 2024.
Our Scholarship Aims to Accomplish These Goals:
Provide financial aid to a student pursuing a secondary education encourage students to understand their personal motivation for pursuing a professional career. Inspire students to overcome challenges in their life. Empower and uplift the Latino community to pursue education and build a better future.
Eligibility
The candidate must be of Latino or Hispanic descent, and must be a child of an immigrant. The scholarship is open to a current high school senior who lives in the United States, residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the 2024 school year. Employees of Solano Law Firm LLC, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition. Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.
Application Requirements
- The candidate must fill out the form below with all necessary information.
- Submit a 500-1,000 word essay explaining what difficulties or disadvantages you have faced in your life and how you overcame them.
- The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.
- Please note that all essays will be checked for AI writing. If AI writing is deemed present in the essay, the application will be denied.
The recipient of the Build a Better Future Scholarship will be chosen during the month following the scholarship deadline.
