Award Deadline: Mar 30, 2025

The Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA), the Atlantic Affiliate of USA Hockey,  is honored to offer a scholarship in memory of Daniel Triano to a student who plans to continue their education beyond high school and who is a member of USA Hockey Officiating in the AAHA.

A one thousand dollar ($1,000) non-renewable scholarship is available, to a high school senior who is registered with USA Hockey and is an active on-ice official in the AAHA.

About Daniel Triano

Daniel was a Level 2 official who lost his life after an automobile accident on June 15, 2016 when he was 17 years old.

Daniel was born and raised in Kenilworth, NJ. In addition to being a referee, he also played for the New Jersey Devils Youth Club for 12 years and was a 3-year varsity player for Jonathan Dayton High School ice hockey team. Daniel volunteered as a junior coach with the New Jersey Dare Devils, a team made up of special needs players.

Daniel was a loving son and brother, a tremendous teammate, and a friend to all who knew him. He was a compassionate soul. From the way he lived his life, we are sure he would want everyone to remember to respect and be kind to one another.
