All applicants should be a son/daughter or grandchild of a current Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association member or a current member of the Oklahoma Junior Cattlemen's Association. All applicants must be a graduating high school senior in the spring of the current year with definite plans to attend college or university or a current student at a college or university with definite plans to continue in the fall.
Type the answers to the following questions on separate paper. Please double space. Answers to the following questions should not exceed three typed pages. DO NOT STAPLE OR BIND THE APPLICATIONS IN ANY WAY EXCEPT WITH A PAPER CLIP. Please include a high school and college transcript (if applicable).
A) List briefly the highlights of your leadership activities. Include school, FFA, 4-H or any other organizations that you held membership in.
B) List a few of the top awards won during high school. May include leadership awards, and organizational awards, speaking awards, honor roll, judging awards, livestock show awards, or any other recognition that was obtained by the applicant during his or her high school years.
C) List any awards or activities that were accomplished during college or after high school.
D) Briefly tell any future plans or goals that you have. List both short and long term plans. Include information about your course of study in college and what you plan to do with your education.
E) This Scholarship in memory of Guy Shull because of his strong beliefs in the principles of associations. Write a 500-word essay on "How young people can become involved and stay involved in the cattle industry."
