The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ scholarship application is completed entirely online. Applicants will upload supplemental documents when completing the online application. Then, a school official or counselor will complete a second portion of the application online.
In order to qualify for a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship, all minimum requirements must be met.
ELIGIBILITY
- Residence: Texas
- Citizenship: United States
- Grade Level: H.S. Senior
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Be a U.S. citizen and Texas resident.
- Graduating high school senior from eligible school.
- Plan to attend an accredited, not-for-profit university in the state of Texas.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – available December 2023
- To start your FAFSA application you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) will first need to create your FSA ID. This can be found on FAFSA's website online. By creating your FSA ID, when the FAFSA application opens in December, you will be ready to start your application.
In order to complete this application, you will need:
- Confirmation of FAFSA submission with estimated EFC
- If not born in the US, proof of citizenship
- If a dependent of a service member, proof of service
