The Washington State Council of County & City Employees offers the following scholarships, which are awarded yearly.
NOTE: Each application outlines the specific rules and information to be followed by applicants in order to be considered. In addition, the ‘Statement of Required Facts’ information is for Council 2’s verification of eligibility only and is not submitted to the Committee.
Per direction of the Council 2 Executive Board, our scholarships will/may be named in honor or in memory of people who have been of great service to the union or for dependents/family of active members of Council 2 as a memorial to them. Names will be added at a later date and we are still accepting more. Email us at c2everett@council2.com if you would like to contribute.
Please note that all applications must be postmarked no later than March 15th. Any applications postmarked later will be disqualified. Please see “Note” on the last page of each application regarding whether additional information submitted will be forwarded to the Committee for their consideration.
The Scholarship Committee will make their selections prior to June. Recipients and non-recipients of the awards will be notified by mail.

ONE $5,000 YEARLY FOUR-YEAR AWARD ($20,000 TOTAL)
One $5,000 yearly four-year award ($20,000 total) to a child who is a dependent or under legal guardianship of a local union member in good standing of the WSCCCE.
SIX $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Six $5,000 scholarship awards to children who are a dependent or under legal guardianship of a local union member in good standing of the WSCCCE.
SIX $2,000 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Six $2,000 scholarship awards to children who are a dependent or under legal guardianship of a local union member in good standing of the WSCCCE,
TWELVE $2,300 AWARDS
An additional twelve $2,300 awards to children who are a dependent or under legal guardianship of a local union member in good standing of the WSCCCE. These represent the funds donated to the scholarship fund at the 2022 golf tournament!
This application is for high school seniors & college undergraduates who are dependents of, or under the legal guardianship of, a Washington State Council of County & City Employees member or a non-association member in good standing.
The application must be completed and postmarked and the official transcript postmarked NO LATER THAN MARCH 15th.
FIVE $1,000 CONTINUING EDUCATION AWARDS
Five $1,000 continuing education awards to members in good standing of a local affiliated with the WSCCCE.
