Through the generosity of our donors, the Daedalian Foundation is able to offer a myriad of scholarships that can offset the high cost of education. Applying is easy and the same application is used for all national scholarships. Basic qualifications are:
- Intention to pursue a career as a military aviator.
- Demonstration of moral character and patriotism.
- Physical condition and aptitude for flight.
- Financial need.
NATIONAL LEVEL
All applicants unless otherwise noted must have the desire and physical ability to become and serve as a military aviator which is defined in our membership page.
LIEUTENANT COLONEL JOE AND CANDACE BURCH SCHOLARSHIP $3,000
Academic performance (GPA of 2.5 or above), Notable leadership achievements. Preferences will be given to a student who wishes to attend the Texas A & M University.
MAJOR MARIUS BURKE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $3,000
A minority background, excellent academic performance with a GPA of 2.8, notable leadership achievements.
LIEUTENANT COLONEL EDWIN L. CURTISS ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP $3,000
Should have a GPA of 2.5 or above and notable leadership achievements.
DESCENDANT SCHOLARSHIP $1-3,000
A direct descendant (natural or adopted) of a Founder, Named, or Hereditary member in good standing (living or deceased) of the Order of Daedalians, and a citizen of the United States of America. May also choose a career as a commissioned officer in one of the armed forces of the United States in a discipline directly supporting aeronautics or astronautics.
CAPTAIN JOHN F. S. GRAZIANO MEMORIAL AWARD & SCHOLARSHIP $1,000
Only students at the University of Maryland in AFROTC can apply. Qualified student will be selected by AFROTC Detachment 330 leader at the University of Maryland to honor Captain John Graziano who died in the line of duty.
COLONEL JOHN D. HEDGES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $1,000
Only students living in or born in Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Colorado or Alaska can apply. Eligible students are Air Force Cadets with a desire to fly transport aircraft and medically qualified for flight training.
WILL HENDRIX MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $3,000
Eligibility is ROTC, medically qualified for flight training, planning to apply for a military aviation allocation in Space Force. Recipient should be one of the highest ranked students academically with preferences but not required going to a Texas A&M student.
BRIGADIER GENERAL KENNETH F. KELLER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $3,000
Eligibility is ROTC, medically qualified for flight training, planning to apply for a military aviation allocation. Recipient should be one of the highest ranked students academically with preferences going to a Texas A&M student. Preference will also be given to an Eagle Scout.
COL MEYERS/CW3 CARGEN ARMY AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP $3,000
The qualifications for recipients of this scholarship are demonstration of strong interest in becoming a military aviator, Army ROTC cadet, excellent academic performance (GPA of 2.5 or above), notable leadership achievements, and no known reasons for disqualification from military flight training.
LIEUTENANT COLONEL JEFF JOHNSTON PIERCY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $1,000
Only students born in Missouri can apply. The student must be an USAF ROTC cadet.
LIEUTENANT COLONEL KENT W. LATTIG SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship was made possible by a generous gift from Lt Col Kent Lattig. The scholarship was given to honor those who serve in the U.S. military. The scholarship goes to students who demonstrate a strong interest in becoming a military aviator, excel in academic performance (GPA of 2.5 or above), have notable leadership achievements, and no known reasons for disqualification from military flight training. The student must be in their second year of academic education or beyond for consideration.

Student must show a desire to serve as a military aviator and have shown notable leadership ability.
