Advanced Beginner Tennis - 1st year
Designed to help the student gain further knowledge and mastery of the fundamentals of tennis beyond the beginning level, and to increase the student’s appreciation for the game’s value as an outstanding lifelong, recreational, leisure-time activity.
Objectives:
By the end of the course, the students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate improved fundamental skills at the advance-beginner level;
2. Discuss and demonstrate the rules of tennis, including basic offensive and defensive strategy, and game etiquette;
3. Demonstrate an increase in coordination, flexibility, balance, and endurance for incorporating the basic techniques of stretching and conditioning as they apply to tennis;
4. Formulate opportunities for good competition through class tournaments.
