Introduction to Geology - 1st year
Introduction to the basics of general geology, emphasizing the natural processes that govern and shape the Earth. Overview of the origin and interpretation of rocks and minerals, volcanism, earthquakes and plate tectonics will take place.
Objectives:
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate understanding of the theoretical basis behind geology and its related concepts;
2. Analyze the natural processes that govern and shape the earth;
3. Discuss the influence geology has on specific areas of the world;
4. Describe the generation and use of natural resources;
